What you need

tsp garlic powder

tsp dried thyme
tsp dried oregano

tsp onion powder

tsp salt

tsp ground black pepper

tsp cayenne

lb skinless boneless chicken breast

tbsp avocado oil
Instructions
0 First, make the blackened seasoning. Combine paprika, garlic powder, dried thyme, dried oregano, onion powder, salt, ground black pepper and cayenne pepper in a small bowl. 1 Next, cut three chicken breasts in half lengthwise. You should have 6 thinner pieces of chicken now. 2 Spray one side of each piece of chicken with avocado oil. Then, rub the spices into the chicken. The oil helps the spices stick. 3 Flip each piece of chicken over and spray the other side with oil and rub the spices in. Each piece of chicken should be fully coated in the spices on both sides. 7 If you don't have a spray bottle of avocado oil, use about ¼ - ½ teaspoon of oil on each side of each piece of chicken. 4 Place 1 ½ tablespoons avocado oil in a non stick pan over medium high heat until it begins to smoke. 5 Place the chicken into the pan. Turn the heat back to medium. Cook for 3-4 minutes on each side or until the internal temperature has reached 165 degrees F. 6 The spices should create a dark crust around the chicken. Cook two pieces of chicken at a time. Let the chicken sit for a few minutes before slicing it.View original recipe
